Top Turkeys of 2006!

Back in November, we asked you to jot down your thoughts about the worst stuff of 2006. We also promised that we would let you know about the “winners” in each category. Well, you told us and now we're telling you! So here they are- the Turkey Awards for 2006!

Worst TV Show : Ugly Betty squeaked by to win this category, with MTV's Laguna Beach following close behind.

Worst Football Team : No question here- the Cleveland Browns. However, the Pittsburgh Steelers were not too far behind (so quit laughing, Pittsburgh fans!)

Worst Song : Justin Timberlake's Sexyback took top honors here, with Fergie's London Bridge as runner-up.

Worst Chore : It seems that no one likes washing dishes (can't say we blame you). Second place was pretty much a tie between cleaning the bathroom/toilet, dealing with the cat litter and taking out the trash. If you ask us, they're all pretty lame.

Worst Video/Computer Game : The Halo games (1 & 2) were the most frequently mentioned ones here, but don't take it too seriously- everyone pretty much hated a different game.

Worst Book : Frankly, we were appalled that the Harry Potter books won this one. For those of you who have a life, the Goosebumps series came in second.

Worst Movie : We couldn't determine a winner for this category because everyone (really, everyone) put something different. So feel free to hate whatever movie you want.

Worst Color : Green and Yellow topped the list here, but Pink, Gray and Black (?) made strong showings, too.

Worst Day : Is there really any question about this? It's Monday, of course.

Worst Commercial : For the second year in a row, you all expressed a serious dislike for car insurance commercials (mainly Geico). Running a close second was the commercial for Head-On headache remedy (“apply directly to the head”). We can't stand that one, either.

Well, that's it! Thanks for sharing your annoyances with us, and next year we'll find out what bummed you out in 2007!
