Harry Potter Contest
Dumbledore welcomed the winners of the Library’s “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” Art and Writing Contests to a special Pre-Potter Party on July 19 at Poland Library. Artists were asked to submit original artwork showing the Library what they thought the final book cover should look like, while writers were asked to share with the Library how they thought the final book should end. The talented winners are, standing left to right , Chelsea Chism (gr. 9-10 art), Jason Martin-Culet (gr. 11-12 writing), Jonathan Chef (gr. 7-8 art), Katelyn Chef (gr. 11-12 art), Olivia Buzzacco (gr. 9-10 writing), and Lauren Smead (gr. 7-8 writing).

Harry Potter Writing Contest Winners

We couldn't wait to find out how J.K. Rowling would finish the Harry Potter series, so before the final book was released, we asked teens to share their ideas of how it all should end by entering our "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" Writing Contest. Here's what the winners wrote:

Lauren Smead – Harry Potter Writing Contest Winner Grades 7-8

Olivia C.T. Buzzacco – Harry Potter Writing Contest Winner Grades 9-10

Jason Martin-Culet – Harry Potter Writing Contest Winner Grades 11-12

Harry Potter Art Contest Winners

In our "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" Art Contest, we asked teens to show us how the cover of the book should look. Here's what our winners created:

Jonathan Chef – Harry Potter Art Contest Winner Grades 7-8

Chelsea Chism – Harry Potter Art Contest Winner Grades 9-10

Katelyn Chef – Harry Potter Art Contest Winner Grades 11-12
